Biography
Maksim Et’hemaj is the current Executive Director of the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA). Mr Et’hemaj is in this position since since 1 December 2021.
Mr Et’hemaj has more than 29 years of experience in the aviation industry. Previous work includes several leading roles in the Albcontrol (Albanian ANSP), where he served as Head of Operations from 2005 to 2009, also served as CTO from 2013 to 2021. Mr. Et’hemaj was elected as vice chairman of New PENS Executive Board (PEB) since the beginning as well as member of Network Management Board (NMB) since 2018. Mr. Et’hemaj was ATCO from 1999 to December 2021, he represented Albanian Air Traffic Controller Association (ALATCA) to IFATCA from 2001 to 2006.
Mr Et’hemaj has a master’s degree in Natural Science from the University of Tirana in Albania. He also completed the Program for Project Management Professional at the George Town University in Washington DC, USA.
Mr Et’hemaj and the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority are working to prepare aviation in Albania for incoming challenges while enlarging aeronautical infrastructure in the most safest and efficient way.

Biography
Rafael advocates for the interest of IATA's members and strengthening the relationships with aviation stakeholders across the Europe and Central Asia region.
Rafael joined IATA in 2005 as country manager for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay and has held various positions in the association since then.
Rafael's aviation expertise also includes a decade at DHL in the Americas and experience working for a range of air transport companies in South America.
Rafael holds a master in positive leadership and strategy from IE Business School and a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of the Pacific. He has lived in numerous countries including Argentina, Ecuador, Spain, United Kingdom and the United States. He speaks Spanish and English.

Biography
Laurent Gasse, 51, holds a doctorate in labour law and graduated from ESSEC Business School with an Executive MBA in 2008.
He started his career at SEITA as a legal and social studies officer, then held various HR, legal and financial positions in several companies. In 2015, he joined the Soufflet Group, an international agri-food group and Europe's leading private collector of cereals, as director of human resources for the group's largest division in terms of staff: the "bakery, viennoiserie and patisserie" division. He was then appointed director of group human resources and a member of the Soufflet Group's Executive Committee in 2018.
He was appointed Director of Human Resources within the ADP Group on 1 September 2021.

Biography
Marc Hamy is currently the vice president of corporate affairs at Airbus. He is an alumnus of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) de la rue d’Ulm and a civil aviation engineer, with a postgraduate diploma from the French national school for civil aviation (ENAC) and a master’s degree from the University of Paris Dauphine.
He has a background in aviation, transport, economy, and politics, with many senior executive positions.
He has served in the following positions: deputy chief financial officer of DSNA, the French air navigation services provider; general manager of the two air traffic control centres of the south of France; director of the civil aviation authority in the French Pacific territories; chief executive officer (CEO) of DSNA (8000 employees and a turnover of 1 billion Euros a year); chief of staff of the French Minister for Transports; deputy chief of staff of the Minister for Energy, Transport, and Environment; chief operating officer of Airbus ProSky; chief of staff of the Airbus CEO, vice president of Air Transport and Public Affairs, and finally vice president corporate affairs at Airbus SAS.
He is a founding member of the SESAR Joint undertaking, and of the EGNOS SSP, and contributed to create Airbus ProSky in 2010, three companies developing new technologies and services in aviation and space. He is holder of the Legion of Honour, of the National Order of Merit, and of the Medal of Aeronautics.
