Biography
Charles Pace started off in the industry more than 40 years ago when he took up a summer job in between studies. He immediately fell in love with the industry and has never looked back. He started out as a cabin crew member, went on to do some work in ground operations until he obtained his flying licence. Charles Pace started out flying 737s as a first officer and was promoted to captain a few years later. He was a TRI/TRE on the fleet and went on to be chief pilot Boeing 737 at the national airline. He has held posts as safety and compliance manager for the national carrier, and safety manager for a private jet company.
Mr Pace was appointed to the board of directors of the Transport Authority in Malta and later became Director General for Civil Aviation, a post he has held for the last five years. Charles Pace is part of the National Security Committee, the Sanctions Monitoring Board and the National Aerospace Board.

Biography
William is the Executive Director of T&E, steering the organisation to promote, at EU and global level, policy that ensures cleaner, safer, smarter transport. He joined the organisation in 2011. As climate and freight director, William has led the campaign to regulate CO2 emissions from trucks in Europe for the first time. He also campaigned successfully to get cleaner and safer trucks on European roads as well as for the 95 gramme CO2 emissions target that new cars must achieve by 2021.
A Belgian native, William studied history at KU Leuven and European studies at ULB, Brussels, and the University of Geneva. He started his career in Brussels working for a MEP, after which he joined Belgium's EU presidency team to help negotiate the first CO2 standards for vans. In his spare time he is a 'cyclo-path' for two-wheeled transport and at weekends can be found cycling one of the city's 'green ways'. William also enjoys reading about classical antiquity especially Rome. He speaks Dutch, English, French and German.

Andrew Charlton is the managing director of Aviation Advocacy, an independent strategic and government affairs and publishing company based in Switzerland. Aviation Advocacy's clients include major industry suppliers, airlines, ANSPs, regulators, service providers and airports.
Andrew regularly writes about and comments on aviation. Aviation Advocacy's subscription only Aviation Intelligence Reporter is an increasingly influential monthly critique of developments. Its subscribers include senior regulators; airline, ANSP and airport senior executives; and several trade associations.
Andrew has wide-ranging experience in the legal, commercial and aero-political aspects of the aviation industry. He has been involved in some of the most major developments in the industry. Previously, Andrew was the Chief Legal Officer of Qantas Airways before being responsible for Government Affairs for IATA and then SITA. He is the Executive Director of the ATM Policy Institute. Andrew is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Biography
Since 2007, Michael Lunter (1962) has been working in the field of sustainable aviation in what is currently called the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management in the Netherlands. Before entering the aviation world, he worked on a number of environmental topics in the field of legislation, inspection, consultancy and in various private companies and governmental organisations, including the European Commission. In 2012, he took over as member for the Netherlands of the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP), and since 2013 he has played a role as (co-) chair of the ECAC Environmental Forum and the ECAC European Aviation Environment Group (EAEG) and their preceding groups. In CAEP, he participates in WG3 (Emissions), that developed the aeroplane CO2 standard and recently the nvPM standard for engines, and in WG4 (CORSIA). Since February 2020, he has been co-chair of the taskgroup of CAEP that is working on options for a long-term aspirational goal (LTAG) for CO2 emissions reduction for international aviation. Michael Lunter is married and has three children.
