Yerevan, 23-25 April 2025 — The Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia hosted a Best Practices for National Auditors – Level 2 (BPNA-2) training course in Yerevan, for eight national security auditors from Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Greece and the Republic of Moldova.
Designed as a recurrent training course under the framework of the ECAC Capacity-Building Programme, BPNA-2 reinforced the key principles of effective compliance monitoring, inspection and audit methodology, and applicable techniques. It aimed to enhance auditors’ competencies in carrying out national compliance monitoring activities.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening practical skills in inspecting passenger and cabin baggage screening, security controls – including the screening of airport supplies – and the deployment and use of security equipment. Through classroom activities and interactive engagement, participants also reviewed recent changes to Doc 30, Part II (Security) recommendations, shared lessons learned and discussed a range of security-related scenarios and best practices for conducting security inspections and audits.
