Dublin, 27 Febuary - 3 March 2023 — National auditors from Belgium, Estonia, Ireland, Montenegro and Slovakia participated in the ECAC Best Practices for National Auditors – Level 1 training course organised in Dublin. Over the course of five days, the eight participants developed their knowledge and skills in inspecting passenger and cabin baggage screening, passenger and baggage reconciliation, hold baggage screening and protection.
They were introduced to inspection/audit methodology and techniques, debriefing, compliance assessment and report writing. They were also able to gain a better understanding of the roles, powers and responsibilities of national auditors.
The Irish Aviation Authority provided on-site assistance for the course, organised the practical activities at the airport and released an experienced security expert as a co-instructor, who significantly contributed to sharing practical experience and achieving the training objectives.
