Kaunas, 8-9 October 2024 — Following September’s successful assessment in Ireland, the second evaluation under the ECAC Quality Assessment Programme on the Assistance to Persons with Disabilities and Persons with Reduced Mobility took place in Lithuania. This activity was held at the rapidly expanding Kaunas Airport and hosted by the Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration (LTSA).

Videoconference, 4 October 2024 — A thematic information session on the explosive trace detection (ETD) systems testing campaign was held online to inform manufacturers about the administrative and technical aspects of the campaign. The session, which focused on testing against the ETD chemical detection standard using particulate sampling, gathered all major ETD manufacturers.

Dublin, 30 September – 4 October 2024 — Ireland was host to the ECAC National Inspector Exchange Programme, an activity designed to foster inspector learning and development across various aviation contexts. This programme empowers States to adapt to evolving regulatory approaches, introduces inspectors to methods of screening they may not have in their own State, and to best practices that they can learn from and integrate into their national systems.
